Voices from Europe is a project presented within the European program Culture 2000 by the Youth Project Centre, which is part of the Youth Politics Assessorate of the Municipality of Padua. The project has been approved and has obtained a part-financing from the Directorate-General for Culture of the European Commission. The project is part of the annual sectorial approach for the year 2003, "Arti dello Spettacolo" ["Arts of the Performance"] and it is an annual project of cooperation.

Voices from Europe is a project based on voices, on oral cultures, both spoken and sung, on exchanges among artists coming from different countries, on the desire to preserve and to spread one's traditions, with the aim of passing them down to the young generations and to other European cultures.

The project started in October 2003 and it will end in October 2004. The participants are national and international partners who will create a series of tools that can also be used after the end of the project.
